His Holiness Baselius Mar Thoma Paulose II – the supreme head of Indian Orthodox Church arrived in Udaipur today to inaugurate the St. Gregorios College on 4^th march.

After the arrival of His Holiness and other dignitaries followed by prayer, HH Mar Thoma Pulose ( photo below, in centre) met other religious leaders of Udaipur in a meeting. The MGOCM group has present prayer.

After prayers there was small function dedicated to all those people who contributed in St. . Gregorios Church since 60 years, they were honored by H.H Mar Thoma Pulose II.

Indian (malankara) church is an ancient church of India which traces its history to A.D. 52 when St. Thomas, one of the disciple of Jesus Christ, came to India and established Christianity in its south western parts. Rev. Father Segi Yohannan, Father Sam Gabriel and many notable personalities of St. Gregorios church was present in the ceremony.

The foundation of St. Gregorios church was laid in 1987; this is also the only parish in Rajasthan where the Holy Relics of St. Gregorios of Paramula is being kept.

St. Gregorios College will be inaugurated tomorrow at 11 am after the benediction at 10 am.
