Horse Riding Training which was started at Fateh School ground on 14th June has reached its middle phase. 12 people including men and women of different age groups are learning the basics of riding and tackling horses.

Horse Riding Training which was started at Fateh School ground on 14th June has reached its middle phase. 12 people including men and women of different age groups are learning the basics of riding and tackling horses.

The camp was initiated by district collector Ashutosh Pednekar with an objective to promote horse culture in Udaipur city which will add value to both horse passionatess and horse owners.

Mohammad Siddiq, a horse trainer informed, “The first session will end on 29th June in which participants will be trained with all the basics of horse riding including horse handling, riding technique and tackling the horse.”

He also informed that the participants are also learning about the behavior of horse as it is very important for a rider to understand the animal.

Every morning from 7-9, a dozen people join the session. One of the participants, Shreya who originally belongs to Udaipur but presently living in Delhi informed that, she is in Udaipur for vacation and as soon as she came to know about the camp, she approached it. “I am very excited, I was scared of horses but now I am handling them well.”

Mohammad Siddiq informed that, the camp was basically targeted for young participants but interestingly few senior citizens also joined the session.

After a successful horse show held few months back at Gandhi Ground, District Collector put forward the plan of making an organization of horse owners of the city. Soon Ashwa Shakti Society was formed and many activities are proposed including a polo match before 15th August.

Regular Horse activities will help the horse owners who are facing financial problems, meanwhile it will give opportunity for common people to learn horse riding.
