The grand wedding procession, which was managed by the Shiv Parvati Seva Samiti, started from the Triambakeshwar Temple of the Sector 11 area of Hiran Magri. It first reached the Agrawal Dharmshala located at Alok School.

 

The much awaited grand wedding ceremony and procession of Shiv-Parvati was performed by hundreds of devotees today in Udaipur.

The grand wedding procession, which was managed by the Shiv Parvati Seva Samiti, started from the Triambakeshwar Temple of the Sector 11 area of Hiran Magri. It first reached the Agrawal Dharmshala located at Alok School.

The procession which was full of highly devoted followers then reached Nagda Bhawan where certain ceremonies were also observed. Finally, the procession ended after reaching Krishi Mandi where extreme devotion was expressed by the followers.

Hundreds of people had come out and observed this grand occasion. Many followers attended the event wearing attires of various gods and goddesses like Indra-Indrani, Krishna, Sudama, Brahma and Hanuman. The carrier of Lord Shiva, the Nandi Bull was also decorated with jewels and ornaments.

A spiritual evening program of Bhajan Sandhya was also organized along with the procession. Artists from Mumbai, Punjab and Haryana performed at this event which continued late into the night. Thereafter, the ceremony of Adieu was observed in which ornaments of gold and silver were given.

The preparation of the wedding procession of took a month in which many artists including sculptors and musicians participated in order to make the event successful.

A replica of the 500 ft cave of Vaishno Devi was also constructed at the Krishi Mandi ground. Many artists including the renowned singer Nitin Mukesh also came to Udaipur in order to ensure the success of this event.
