ICICI RSETI celebrated its 10th Anniversary on 8th March, 2016 at Udaipur. ICICI RSETI Celebrates 10th Anniversary on Women’s Day

ICICI RSETI celebrated its 10th Anniversary on 8th March, 2016 at Udaipur. The Program was presided over by Rohit Gupta, District collector Udaipur and the Chief Guests who graced the occasion were Chinmay Sengupta, COO of ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth, Namrata Vrishi, SDM Girwa Block, Monika Sen, Probationary IPS officer,  Sudhir Dave, CPO Udaipur, Sunit Mathur, Regional Head, ICICI Bank Udaipur, Manna lal Rawat District Transport officer, Udaipur and Sanjay Choudhary, Director RSETIs Udaipur and Jodhpur.

To commemorate the International Women’s Day on 8th March, 2016, the theme of the function was kept ‘Women Empowerment’ and the program was entirely managed by the women staff members of ICICI RSETI.

The program commenced by lighting of the lamp by all the esteemed guests followed by a brief film on the 10 years’ journey of ICICI RSETI, Udaipur.

Sanjay Choudhary, Director RSETIs Udaipur & Jodhpur, acquainted the guests to the journey of ICICI RSETI that was a small center in 2006 housed by Bank of Rajasthan and in 2016 is a well-equipped, residential training institute with 7 satellite centers at Chitrakoot Nagar.

ICICI RSETI is unique among the 583 RSETIs operating in various districts across India because of its reach to the remotest areas of District throughits 7 satellite centers, ‘Compulsory on-the-job training’ andprovision of ‘free Tool Kits’to the trainees in all the technical courses.

ICICI RSETI Udaipur has been rated as the best performing RSETI for last consecutive three years by MORD, Govt of India.

Till now, ICICI RSETI has trained around 14000 youths in 18 major trades with 42% women participation.

Choudhary vowed to continue the same work with more innovations and increased zeal in coming years.

A book entitled “KAUSHALTARU” depicting the success stories of 50 successful entrepreneurs from across Udaipur district trained by ICICI RSETI was launched by all the guests to commemorate the event.

“A special initiative of training women driversto make them self-sustainable was also launched to mark the International Women’s Day in which Manna Lal Rawat, ‘District Transport Officer’ also participated. The specialised course on ‘women motor driving’has started in collaboration with District Administration, Nagar Nigam, RTO Udaipur and Tata Motors with ICICI RSETI.”

Three successful women trainees trained by ICICI RSETI in different trades along with other trained entrepreneurs shared their experiences. 50 ICICI RSETI trained youths present at the event were facilitated and mementos were presented to them by the esteemed guests.

District Collector Rohit Gupta appreciated the efforts made by ICICI RSETI in up skilling of rural youthsof Udaipur Dist. and advised them to continue the efforts. He laid special emphasis on the participation of women in various fields which has helped in changing the societal scenarios.

Members of the ‘employers’ fraternity’ who have been regularly helping ICICI RSETI trained youths in Placements, OJTs, Exposure visits and Guest lecture were also honoured. Few of them highlighted their contribution made towards the upliftment of youth with the team effort by ICICI RSETI.

Chinmay Sengupta shared his memories of growth in quantum of work undertaken by RSETIUdaipur after ICICI took over “Bank of Rajasthan” in 2011 and the commitment to train more and more youths with a special focus on women participation. Smt. Namrata Vrishi was overwhelmed to see the participation of women for the special course and appreciated the combined efforts in promoting motor driving skills among women. Smt. Monika Sen highlighted the women’s day theme of empowerment and motivated all to work shoulder-to-shoulder towards community building and progress.

Sudhir Dave, CPO also congratulated ICICI RSETI for the successful completion of 10 years.

In the end, a vote of thanks was extended by Fanindra Mishra, Sr. Program Manager, ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth to all the guests, employers, successful entrepreneurs, members of press and staff members of ICICI RSETI.
