The Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur is all set to host its Annual Cultural Festival, Audacity, sponsored by State Bank of India, in association with Indian Oil, on the 21st and 22nd of January. The star attraction of the fest would be Bollywood singer Shalmali Kholgade (of “Baby ko bass pasand hai” fame).
Having shifted to its vast 300-acre campus near Balicha recently, this edition of Audacity will be the first of its kind in the permanent campus of the institute. The central theme of this year’s spectacle is “Magic”.
This edition will witness 45+ events ranging from crowd favourites like War of the Bands and Demystify Udaipur to fun-filled games like a live-action version of Angry Birds; Chef-e-Udaipur – a battle of culinary finesse; DJ Nite – a place to let one’s hair down; Anjaana Anjaani – blind dating with a twist and Cultural Nite – the ultimate showdown.
Shalmali Kholgade, known for her super-hits like ‘Balam Pichkari’, ‘Shanivaar Raati’ and ‘Baby Ko Bass pasand hai’ has been roped in as the Guest performer for the Pro-Nite, and her energetic voice coupled with a long list of chartbusters is sure to turn the evening ‘magical’.
The cultural fest of IIMU will also witness dance performances by kids from orphanages that IIMU has supported for a long time, and a debate competition among kids from schools in and around Udaipur.
The event was kick-started last Saturday with a promotional Flash-mob at the Celebration Mall, Udaipur with a participation of more than seventy students from the institute. The performance by the budding managers on the dance floor proved that not only are they some of the brightest minds in the country but are passionate dancers as well.
The students of IIM Udaipur are looking forward to infuse the same passion into all the participants and spectators visiting the institute over the coming weekend.
It’s time to celebrate the spirit of the city of Udaipur again. It’s time to celebrate Magic. It’s time to be Audacious again.
