The preparations of State level celebration of 15th August are taking final shapes on various venues of the city. On 14th August a cultural event will be held at Railway training ground where around 400 artists from all over the country including artists from 25 different regions of Rajasthan will also participate.

The preparations of State level celebration of 15th August are taking final shapes on various venues of the city. On 14th August a cultural event will be held at Railway training ground where around 400 artists from all over the country including artists from 25 different regions of Rajasthan will also participate.

The cultural event ‘Spandan’ to be held on eve of Independence Day will showcase India’s freedom struggle started from Mughal period till 1947. The program will be supported by 60 families of freedom fighters as audience and Military personals.

Meghraj Leheriya, Ex- Chairman, Cottage Industries Corporation informed that sitting arrangements for more than 15000 individuals will make celebration one of the biggest. The stage has been prepared and has been given a design of City Palace as an icon of Mewar region.

Leheriya also informed that teams of artists already started arriving in Udaipur, and also begin their rehearsals. The final dress rehearsal will be held on 13th August.

Leheriya added that district administration has also arranged tight security for the event, as Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje will be the chief guest of program.
