An awareness rally was organized today on the occasion of World Heritage Day to propel the message of conserving and preserving the years old heritage of Mewar.

Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari, Vice Chancellor Prof S.S Sarangdevot, Registrar Prof C.P Agrawal, Historian Dr. Dev Kothari, Dr. Rajshekhar Vyas and Dr. Jeevan Singh Kharakwal flagged off the rally which traveled through various parts of the city and concluded at Nagar Nigam premises.

The rally was organized collectively by JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University, Udaipur Nagar Nigam and ASI, Jodhpur Circle in which city’s senior citizens, archaeologist, historians, geologists, artists, litterateur and members of various organizations participated.

Many delegates including Mahendra Bhanawat, H.V Paliwal, Ugrasen Rao, Mahesh Trivedi, Rajesh Vairagi and others addressed the gathering at the ceremony conducted thereafter.
