Udaipur Center of the Institutions of Engineers (India) celebrated World Environment Day at M.P.Baya Auditorium located at Sector-11.

Starting with the ceremony, Center President Dr. Y.C. Bhatt welcomed the members and the guests. Then, Abhijeet Sharma from Morarka Foundation and Rohit Jain of Banyan Roots Organic Store addressed the audience.

Sharma explained the theme ‘Think Eat Save’ and emphasized on organic farming while Jain talked about healthy food and hybrid technology that can be used to produce food grains and vegetables under low water conditions. Jain advocated discouraging the use of harmful insecticides on the crop.

The program ended with a competition on the theme of environment day.
