International Software Summit 2013 concludes successfully

The International Software Summit 2013 organised by Department of Computer Science Engg & IT, Techno India NJR Institute of Technology, Udaipur in association with IEEE Computer Society India Council, The Institution of Engineers(IEI) ULC under Technical Co-sponsorship of Computer Society Chapter IEEE Delhi Section on 11-12 April concluded successfully.

The International Software Summit 2013 organised by Department of Computer Science Engg & IT, Techno India NJR Institute of Technology, Udaipur in association with IEEE Computer Society India Council, The Institution of Engineers(IEI) ULC under Technical Co-sponsorship of Computer Society Chapter IEEE Delhi Section on 11-12 April concluded successfully.

Summit was inaugurated by Prof. Sigurd Meldal, Chair, Dept. of Computer Science, SJSU. IT heavyweights from Infosys, Oracle, SAP, Hexaware Technologies and many more were part of this summit, alongwith leaders of successful start ups.

The summit started with a keynote address by Prof. Meldal on “Security Risk Management and the science of security in Software Engineering” followed by houseful session by Guarav Mantri, Founder Cerebrata & Head of Technology at Cynapta over “Getting started in Software Industry”.

The summit carried on with a speech by Nilesh Trivedi (GupShup.me) over “Why Programming is fun and why we should keep it that way”. Nilesh also talked about “Case for Dynamic Programming”. In the later sessions, Jacob P.U., Head-HR, Hexaware Technologies took a session over “Innovative HR practices in Software Industry” followed by session on “Success beyond Schools in Uncertain time” by Narendra Sharma, Ex-VP, Hexaware Technologies.

On day 2, summit started with Pankaj Sahay’s (Infosys) views on “Software Standardisation” and Mohit Phogat, Oracle on “Unlocking the U in the University”. Yatheendranath Tarikere spoke on role of IEEE in Software Industry and Stefano Zanero, Assistant Professor, Politecnico di Milano, Italy talked on security of cyber-physical and malicious code analysis.

Chief Guest for Valedictory session was Dr. N. S. Rathore, Dean, CTAE and Guest of Honour was Mr. Ajay Kapur, Director, Oracle India. Vote of thanks was delivered by Piyush Javeria, Chair, Organising Committee, International Software Summit 2013 and he also spoke on the takeaways and recommendations from the Summit. It was decided to conduct this summit on annual basis.
