It’s Teacher’s responsibility to save Environment: Rajendra Singh

Known as ‘Water Man of India’, Rajendra Singh, the winner of Magsaysay Award ad Stockholm Prize attended the 21-day refresher course seminar organized at JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University on the topic ‘Environment & Research Methodology.’

During the seminar he emphasized the need to construct sewer line away from the river to avoid getting adulterated water in the houses. He also elaborated that it is the onus of the teachers to spread awareness about the environment.

When asked about the present status of Udaipur, Rajendra Singh said that the city has forgone the traditional science and sense of water conservation. He also said that the coming generation may live life lavishly with huge properties and cash, but life wouldn’t survive long without nature, pure water, air and jungles.

Vice Chancellor SS Sarangdevot also addressed the gathering and Singh answered many questions in the seminar.
