Udaipur, January 29, 2025 - On the heels of a successful Udaipur Bird Festival, a Jaipur Bird Festival is being organised by the Green People Society (Jaipur Chapter) on Saturday, February 1. A meeting of the society was held in Udaipur recently to discuss various arrangements and activities related to the event.
Retired IAS officer Vikram Singh, coordinator of the Jaipur Bird Festival, said that this event will be held at the Kanota Camp Resorts near Jamdoli and will involve around 500 students, teachers and environment enthusiasts.
He further informed that the festival will be organised with the support of the Forest Department and WWF India. It will feature a range of activities for participants and students, including registration, distribution of student kits, bird identification booklets, cardboard nests, DIY kits and hats.
Afterward, under the guidance of bird experts, participants will engage in bird-watching using binoculars and through spotting routines. Activities will also include drawing and painting competitions, a quiz competition, an exhibition of bird-habitat photographs, a stamp exhibition on birds, group discussions and a conference-workshop on wetlands.
Bird experts from across the country, including MK Ranjit Singh from Gujarat, WWF chief Ravi Singh and Asad Rahmani, will participate in the festival.
