A cultural event – ‘Jhankar 2014’ begun today at Vidya Bhawan Rural Institute. The guests of the event today were Prof. AK Sodani, Dinesh Bhatt, Udaylal Dangi and Banshilal Prajapat.

The programme started with ritualistic lamp lighting ceremony by the guests. Dr. Tej Prakash Sharma, Director, VBRI welcomed the guests.

On the first day, students took part in Solo and Group Singing, Solo and Group Dance and Fancy Dress Competition. The Dance performances got loud applauses from the audience. Student Leaders coordinated and appreciated the performers.

Programme was anchored and presented by Harshita Bhatnagar, Sanjay, Giriraj, Jay and Praveen. Performances were judged by Dr. Shilpa Nahar, Poonam Singh and Sadhna Talesra.

Mister & Miss VBRI and Garba event will be organized in the next episodes of the events, scheduled tomorrow and on Saturday.
