The well acclaimed puppet drama “Kabuliwala” will be performed at Lok Kala Mandal on 7-May.

The puppet drama will be performed on birthday of Rabindra Nath Tagore, informed Riyaz Tehsin, Secretary.

Centre Director Laiq Hussain said that Kabuliwala is based on Rabindra Nath Tagore’s script. Inspired by Rabindra Nath Tagore, this puppet play was conceptualised on his 150th birth anniversary in 2012.

Scripted and Directed by Laiq Hussain, the story talks about a little girl Mini and a Kabuliwala. The Kabuliwala has a paternal liking towards Mini as he sees in her a reflection of his own daughter, who is about the same age.

Kabuliwala has been performed over 50 times and received very well across the country.
