Kailash Kher to set ball rolling at Udaipur World Music Festival today

Second edition of Udaipur World Music Festival will start today at Fateh Sagar and Gandhi Ground. The 3-day festival is set to host over 150 artists from 16 countries including Armenia, Canada, Cuba, Iran, Italy, Macedonia, Mozambique, Norway, Senegal, South Africa, United Kingdom, Turkey and Switzerland.

Gypsy band from Macedonia will get the ball rolling at Gandhi Ground at 7:00 pm today. Kailash Kher and his band Kailasa will also perform today evening. Traditional African songs with spin will be provided by artists from Mozambique, Norway, Sweden and Zimbabwe-Monoswezi.

Kailash Kher to set ball rolling at Udaipur World Music Festival today

Poetic rendition by Ablaye Cissoko(Senegal) along with Canadian Constantinople Ensemble will entertain the audience on second day at 3pm at Fateh Sagar. Kabir Cafe will round up the performance in afternoon. The spotlight will move to Gandhi Ground in evening at 7:00 pm with performances by Indian rock band Parvaan and Bangalore based fusion band Swarathma. Prime attraction for the evening will be South African World Music band, Hot Water.

The final day afternoon at Fateh Sagar will host Indian Band Advaita along with Swiss-Cuban musician Yilian Canizares. Festival will come to an end at Gandhi Ground with performances by Dhruv Voyage, Italian band Officina Zoe and London Community Gospel Choir starting 7 pm.
