Women of Udaipur celebrated the auspicious festival of Karwa Chauth today. They prayed for the well being of their husband and broke fast after the sighting of moon.

Dressed beautifully, ladies gathered in open spaces and roofs to see the moon at 8:15 pm. After commencing the ritualistic pooja, husbands offered them water to break their day long fast.

Many communities including the Rajput Samaj held functions where group of ladies came together for the sighting of the moon and concluded their fasts together.
