Kathak Danseuse Uma Sharma and her troupe enthralled the audience at a cultural program ‘Brahmanjali 2014’ held last night at the beautiful Jagmandir Palace on the occasion of Kartik Poornima. 

Organized by Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, the event was inaugurated by Arvind Singh Mewar, managing trustee and president of the foundation.

Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation hosts this function annually on the occasion of Kartik Poornima, every year. The auspicious day is celebrated as a special devotional evening to please Lord Brahma who is believed to be the creator of earth, according to Hinduism.

Uma Sharma, a well known Kathak Dancer from Delhi and her group presented various acts of dance consisting of devotional play. The musical program was directed by Pandit Jwala Prasad who was accompanied by several artists including Mubarak Khan (Tabla), Khalid Mustafa (Sitar), Vinay Pasanna (Flute), Abrar Hussain (Sarod), Tarun (Pakhawaj), Yograj Panwar and S.M Zaheer.

Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar (Foundation Trustee), many foreign tourists and locals were present during the occasion.
