Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) with Mahaveer Jain Parishad organized a National Kavi Sammelan at Lok Kala Mandal on the eve of Mahaveer Jayanti.

The event witnessed renowned poets reciting poems based on patriotism, satire on political scenario and societal traditions. The program commenced with paying homage to Goddess Sharde by Meenu Sharma from Kota.

Nimbahera’s Shanti Toofan tickled the funny bones of the audience with his short satirical poems. He gave solutions to India’s problems in a twisted way that was commended by the audience. Other performances were from Rajendra Malvi Alsi from Itarsi, Delhi’s Shambhu Shikhar, Rambabu Sikarwal from Dhaulpur and Agra’s Shashank Prabhakar.

Udaipur’s talent Rao Ajat Shatru compeered the entire program and mesmerized everyone with his poignant poems and lyrical couplets. Parishad’s organizer Rajkumar Fattawat welcomed the guests and audience to the show.
