The State Level Khaadi Gramudhyog Mela and Cottage Industry Fair will commence from 5 PM today at Townhall. The Fair is organized in the joint collaboration of Khaadi Gramudhyog, Mumbai and Rajasthan Aadimjati Sevak Sangh, Jaipur.

The Chief Guest of the event would be Sajjan Katara, while Madhu Mehta would be leading the program. Well-known figures including Mahendra Pratap Baya, Rooplala Nandawat, Pankal Sharma, Laxminarayan Pandya and Dr. R. P. Vimal will be present during the inaugural ceremony.

The Fair will start at 12 noon and will continue till 9 PM every day. The Fair will have 150 stalls showcasing a variety of Khaadi and Cottage Industry products. The products will be available at a discount of 15 to 30 percent.

Fair Organizer Banwari Lal Gaur said that like every year, the fair will start from December 8. It will consist of 100 Khaadi Stalls and 40 Cottage Industry Stalls which will have clothes, sarees, dress materials, shawl, blankets, cots, pillows made of cotton, synthetic, woolen, silk, etc. The Fair will also have a variety of pickles, ayurvedic herbal products, spices, handicrafts, leather products, etc.

The motive of the fair is to provide a market-place for the Khaadi and Cottage Industry products. The fair will end on 25th December 2012.
