State Level Khadi Mela concluded yesterday at Town Hall. The final sales figures from the exhibition touched Rs. 1.90 crore.
Woolen Clothes, mattresses, blankets and home furnishing were among the top selling products in the exhibition. Owners of the stalls with highest sales were also awarded. Banwari Lal Gaur, Coordinator, said that, “The yearly Khadi exhibition is organized to help Village and Cottage industries to do business and showcase their products. Like every year, this year witnessed large amount of shopping by the localites.” Prakash Chandra Gaur, Vice President informed that sales of Rs. 34 lac from Cotton Khadi, Rs. 50.44 lac from Wollen Khadi, Rs. 6.12 lac from Silk Khadi, Rs. 3.58 lac from Polyester Khadi and Rs. 89.51 lac from Village Industries was recorded.
