The 15-day long Khadi Mela organized by Rajasthan Adim Jati Sevak Sangh, Jaipur began at Town Hall in the presence of Khadi & Village Industries Commission’s President VK Saxena. The exhibition of khadi products will start from 12 PM to 9 PM every day.

On the occasion of the inauguration, Saxena said that this is a medium that links the product directly to the consumer and removes the middlemen. Also, khadi products will be promoted well through this fair.

Exhibition organizer Banwarilal Gaud informed that there are 135 stalls at the venue in which 80 are exclusively of khadi products while the rest 55 stalls are of village industries’ products. Udaipurites will have range of products including coating & shirting, carpet, blanket, salwar suit, table cover, wollen clothes, gents & ladies shawl, polyester khadi silk products and paper silk saris etc. available at discount of 15-25%.

Besides the above, variety of steel furniture, south India’s jute carpet, pickle, spices, soap, shampoo, incenses, clay toys will also be available at the Khadi Mela.

Ramdas Sharma, Jawaharmal Sethia, Baldhari Singh, Phool Singh Meena, Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari and Dinesh Jatt were present at the inauguration.
