A district level cricket tournament for Engineering Students was organized by Takniki Shiksha Vidyarthi Parishad (TSVP) from 18-20th April, 2011 in CTAE College ground.
League matches for more than 20teams were organized on 18th and 19th April and semi-final and final matches were organized today on 20th April, 2011.
The final match was played between Khosla Cricket Club from College of Technology And Engineering (CTAE) and The Royals from Pacific Engineering College. KKC made a good start but then they lost their wickets at regular intervals. In the last over team was all out at score of 91.
Target for The Royals was 92runs out of 15 overs seemed to be achievable. The Royals didn’t perform as in their previous qualifying matches and struggled. Eventually, they lost the match by 9 runs.
Chief Guest for today’s final match was Mrs. Rajni Dangi, Chairman of Municipal Corporation. She awarded trophies and certificates to the winners and addressed the students, wishing them good luck and bright future. Man of the Series was awarded to Charan Singh who smashed a century off 37 balls hitting 13 sixes and 7 fours. Prize Ceremony and the tournament concluded with a vote of thanks by Narpat Singh Rathore, Head of the Organizing Committee.
