On Wednesday, Udaipur witnessed the royal wedding of Janhavi Kumari d/o Shakti Singh Mewar (associated with Mewar Royalty) and Parikshit Singh s/o Tutu Banna (associated with Jodhpur Royalty).

The wedding procession started around 9 pm from RK Fort and culminated at the wedding place, Royal Retreat. The half km long procession saw elephants, horses, camels, musical bands, etc. The groom Parikshit carried out the Toran ceremony on the elephant.

As per details received, the wedding saw guests from royal families of Jaipur, Kishangarh, Patiya, Alwar, Baroda, Himachal amongst others.

Guests were put up in four prominent hotels of the city and were transported in luxurious cars throughout the day. Royalty descended on the city.

Janhavi is Shakti Singh Mewar’s daughter. Shakti Singh is the son of Narendra Singh who in turn was brother of earlier King Maharana Bhagwat Singh Mewar.
