The three- day, 52^nd Maharana Kumbha Sangeet Samaroh started at Town Hall auditorium yesterday on 7^th Feb.

Audience enjoyed Kuchipudi Dance presented by Dr. Raja & Radha Reddy and Yamini Reddy whereas Padma Vibhushan Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma’s Santoor Vadan left the audience mesmerized.

Dr. Raja and Radha Reddy exhibited various avatars of Lord Krishna. The superb choreography added with perfect expression left the audience captivated. Specially, when Dr Raja, Radha and their daughter Yamini danced standing on the metal plate drew much attention from the crowd.

In the second session, Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma completely spellbound the audience with his melodious Santoor Vadan. Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma was accompanied by his apprentice Takahiro Arai from Japan.

Sharma in his short conversation with audience expressed the need for a better auditorium in the city and said, “The program of such high standard in a beautiful city like Udaipur definitely requires a bigger and better auditorium with all facilities for performing artists and audience.”
