Kumbhalgarh Festival Concludes flamboyantly

Large number of visitors gave a pleasant farewell to a 3 day cultural festival yesterday, on the last day of Kumbhalgarh Festival 2013.
With the dance of folk artists, foreign tourists also took on the stage and tapped to the beats of melodious music.

District Collector of Rajsamand took part in “tie your pagdi” competition. While, in photography exhibition Ashok Soni, of Dainik Bhaskar grabbed first position.

  Kumbhalgarh Festival Concludes flamboyantly Large number of visitors gave a pleasant farewell to a 3 day cultural festival yesterday, on the last day of Kumbhalgarh Festival 2013. With the dance of folk artists, foreign tourists also took on the stage and tapped to the beats of melodious music. District Collector of Rajsamand took part in “ tie your pagdi” competition. While, in photography exhibition Ashok Soni, of Dainik Bhaskar grabbed first position. Joint performance by child artists Pallavi Upadhyay, and Luisa Tylor with Rajasthani dancers dazzled the Yagya Vedi Chowk. Foreign tourists who were watching Kalbeliya dance also jumped on the stage and entertained the crowd. Artists from Jodhpur, Baran, Kherwada and Kota, presented several dance forms including Kachhi Godi, Chakri and Ghavri. Kumbhalgarh Festival Concludes flamboyantly

Prominent guests from local administration were present in the closing ceremony. District Chief Kishanlal Gurjar, was the chief guest, while the program was coordinated under the direction of district collector, Dr. Preetam B. Yashwant. Special guest of the program was chief district head Madan Gurjar, Hari Suthar, member of Zila Parishad, Goverdhan Singh Jhala of Hotel Association, Hariram, development officer and Shravan Singh, Tehsildar.

Welcoming of guests was done by Dileep Singh Rathore, associate director of Tourism Department.

The campaign of Green Kumbhalgarh- Clean Kumbhalgarh, was started by the district collector. The campaign is initiated by the joint association of District Administration Scout Guide, Eco Guide, department of Archaeology, and Hotel Association.

The collector also visited Painting Workshop at Hotel Haveli, and as well, tried his hands on canvas.

He also participated in “Tie your Pagdi.”

At night, various artists continued mesmerizing audience with their singing.
