Lake Festival to be held on 18th and 19th November will prove to be a platform for local talent as well. Different programmes are on the agenda for the Lake festival.

Sumita Saroch, Deputy Director Tourism, said that on the first day of Lake Festival local talent will be given a chance to showcase their skills. School children will be able to display their talents under the banner of “Taare Zameen Par”. Schools must send three entries each to District Education Officer by 8th November.

Auditions will be held on 14th November in Town Hall in Deendayal Upadhyay auditorium. Based on these auditions, students will be selected for the final performance. Selected students will be trained by M Square Event Management.

Lake Festival will also give a message of Lake Conservation this year. This message will be demonstrated through models showing how Mewar region is saving every drop of rain water for further use. Basically public needs to be made aware of the need for water conservation.

The two-day Lake Fest will have the following programmes:

18th November- 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Bird watching in Fatehsagar lake, Shramdaan in Pichola at 7 a.m. Adventure water sports and swimming competitions between 4 to 6 p.m. Lake aarti  after the competitions followed by local talent show at 7 p.m.

19th November-6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Bird watching in Fatehsagar lake, Shramdaan in Pichola at 7 a.m. Adventure water sports and swimming competitions between 4 to 6 p.m. Marathon from 6 to 8 p.m. followed by cultural programmes.
