Langar Preparation Starts One Day before ‘Prakash Parv’

On the eve before Guru Nanak Jayanti in Udaipur, preparations of Langar (Mass Supper) started at Sacha Khand Darbar Gurudwara at Sikh Colony. Various religious programs, along with a health Checkup Camp will be held tomorrow on 28th November, on the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.

On the eve before Guru Nanak Jayanti in Udaipur, preparations of Langar (Mass Supper) started at Sacha Khand Darbar Gurudwara at Sikh Colony. Various religious programs, along with a health Checkup Camp will be held tomorrow on 28th November, on the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.

Today, at Sacha Khand Darbar preparations of Langar started. Ladies and gents of Sikh community from nearby localities offered voluntary service for the Langar to be prepared tomorrow.

According to Tejendar Singh Robin, President, Sacha Khand Darbar Seva Samiti, “On Guru Nanak Jayanti, Sharad Jeet Singh from Patna and Jasbeer Singh from Ludhiana will present their Shabd Keertan, while Balwindar Singh of Dehradun will recite life story of Nanak Dev”.

“On Nov. 25, the community carried out a procession from Sector-14, while on the day of Jayanti various religious programs will be held at Gurudwara, followed by a Mass Dinner for around five thousand individuals”, said Tejendar Singh.

On the other hand, Guru Nanak Jayanti was celebrated today in various schools across Udaipur. One such celebration was carried out in CPS School Bhopalpura, where Gyani Jogendra Singh and Tejendar Singh Robin spread the messages of Holy Saint and recited ‘Ardas’.

“Guru Nanak Dev tried to spread unity and brotherhood among humanity; school management is following his teachings by celebrating all festivals with due respect and passion”, said Dr. Alka Sharma, Director, CPS School.
