Udaipur’s Maheshwari community has organized various cultural and devotional events for the past week on the occasion of Mahesh Navami. The celebrations ended today, which was marked by a mass and colorful procession.

Celebrating the event’s last day, the procession started from Khairadiwada today and passed through Bapu Bazar, Delhigate and Dhanmandi, finally ending at Mahesh Temple, Kheradiwada. The procession was formally concluded following the ritualistic ‘Mahaarti’and ‘poojan’.

Yesterday’s event for the occasion had been carried out at Sukhadia Rangmanch, Townhall while the events for the remaining five days were held at Community Hall, Khairadiwada. “The program was organized on the occasion of Mahesh Navami, for which events were conducting for all seven days, consisting of community meeting, cultural activities along with a procession on the last day,” said Lalit Ajmera, President of the Youth Committee, Maheshwari Community.
