Mahi Dam, one of the biggest dams of Udaipur Division, will become the point of attraction in the whole of Rajasthan as the Mahi Mahotsav organized by the District Administration of Banswara unfolds on 28th of this month.

Mahi Dam, one of the biggest dams of Udaipur Division, will become the point of attraction in the whole of Rajasthan as the Mahi Mahotsav organized by the District Administration of Banswara unfolds on 28th of this month.

Kunj Bihari Gupta, District Collector of Banswara, informed that the fest will start with a Grand ‘Shobha Yatra’ wherein more than 1500 traditionally dressed school girls from different schools will participate. Camel carts and Elephants and Horses will be especially decorated for the festive procession; cultural musicians will add beauty to the yatra.

Adventure Water Sports, Hot Air Balloons and Parasailing will be the Main Attraction

Hot air Balloons, Para Sailing are the main attractions of Adventure Sports, where people can enjoy the panoramic view of the Natural beauty surrounding the Dam. Patrons can get active with water sports near Kagdi Pick up.

Sports Competitions during the Festival

District Magistrate also informed that sports competitions will be organized during the festival at Kushalbagh Maidan; during sports competition rural and traditional sports will be played, like archery and tug of war etc.

Deepdan and Fireworks on 28th Eve

At the Kagdi pick up, a show of beautiful fireworks and Deepdan program will be organized.

Mister and Miss Mahi Competition

Unmarried youngsters of age group 18-25 can participate in Mister and Miss Mahi Competition; an added adventure for the youth.

During the festival, Rangoli and Drawing competitions will also be organized.
