Malhar-2014 jointly organized by West Zone Culture Center (WZCC) and Sangeet Natya Academy, New Delhi started today at Gangaur Ghat. On first day of the 2-day event, Classical Singing and Kathak Dance were performed.

Shailendra Dashora, Director, WZCC, informed that, Dr. Chetana Banawat presented classical singing, which was followed by Kathak dance performance by Padamshree Prerna Shrimali from New Delhi.

Dr. Chetna Banawat was born and brought up in Udaipur and now lives in Mumbai. Her classical nodes touched the hearts of the audience and filled the environment with bliss.

Kathak Dance was presented by Padamshree Prerna Shrimali. She is a dedicated Kathak Artist who has taken the standard of performing to a new level. Shrimali has received much recognition for her art and commitment. Recently she was awarded with prestigious Padashree Award for her contribution in Kathak.
