Marwari Horses from Mewar’s Stud Farms steal the Show
In a Horse Show organized in Jodhpur on 3rd and 4th April by All India Marwari Horse Society and Marwari Horse Stud Book Registration Society of India, 4 Marwari horses from Mewar region rocked the show.

Siddharaj
Horses named ‘Siddharaj’ and a ,mare ‘Gulshan’ from Fateh Stud Farm Kelwa and ‘Tejroop’ (mare) from Kelwa Stud Farm achieved the highest rank in various competitions while ‘Great Gambler’ from Khempur, Mavli was selected as the Best Horse.
Tejroop
The winners were awarded with a cash prize ranging up to Rs. 1 Lac and a certificate and a medal by the erstwhile Maharaja of Jodhpur, Gajsingh. The show ended with horses dancing on the beats of Rajasthani folk music.
Gulshan
Marwari Horse is the highest quality and most beautiful and toughest breed of horses in India and, as the name suggests, they belong to Marwar region of Rajasthan. Because of their toughness, bravery and loyalty, Marwaris used to serve the royal armies of erstwhile kings.
