Shri Khatu Shyam Mitr Mandal Trust is organising a Bhakti Sandhya, “Ek shyam Khatu Naresh ke naam”, on 13-May in the Town Hall premises. This will be fourth edition of the Khatu Shyam Festival.

Massive preparations are underway for constructing the multi-storyed stage depicting Khatu Shyam’s darbar. Over 100 artisans are working day-night for preparing the grand stage.

Narayan Agarwal, spokesperson of the Trust informed that the stage will be decorated with flowers from Kolkata and Bengaluru. The head of Khatu Shyam will be decorated with diamonds, pearls and other jewels from Delhi. Flowers will arrive from Kolkata and Bengaluru via flights.

The artisans are working under the guidance of renowned sculptors and decorators Naveen Kasera and Uttam Bhai. The first lot of flowers has already arrived from Kolkata last night. 10 trucks carrying stage construction and decoration material is coming from Delhi.

On the event evening, Kanhaiyya Mittal (Chandigarh), Ram Kumar Lakkha (Delhi), Sakshi-Gauri Verma (Agra) and Sushil Gautam (Delhi) will be presenting their Bhajans.
