Jagannath Rath Yatra, one of the biggest religious processions in Udaipur is scheduled on 10th July this year; looking forward to this religiously important occasion, a meeting was called by organizer Dharmotsav Samiti, where 138 representatives from various social groups and communities participated.

Jagannath Rath Yatra, one of the biggest religious processions in Udaipur is scheduled on 10th July this year; looking forward to this religiously important occasion, a meeting was called by organizer Dharmotsav Samiti, where 138 representatives from various social groups and communities participated.

In the meeting organized at Ashish Ki Haveli at Jagdish Chowk, it was decided to install nearly 2000 religious flags within route of procession; further around 38 colossal will be part of the procession which will be concluded with a Maha Aarti.

According to B.S. Bhati, Secretary, Dharmotsav Samiti, in the 19th Jagannath Yatra scheduled on 10th July a new attraction has being added, where Maha Aarti will be performed with public participation in which everyone will be given a lamp.

Dinesh Makwana, President, of the Samiti, informed that other than colossal, there will be an Akhada Pradarshan by members of Bajrang Dal Mewar on prominent circles of the town.

The meeting held earlier this evening was administered by Mayor Rajni Dangi; Dangi announced cleaning and washing route of procession.

Dinesh Makwana further informed that alike every year all the rituals of procession will be performed, while maintenance work of ‘Rath’ will start from 7th July.
