Christmas the holy festival of Christians was celebrated with absolute enthusiasm and extreme honor. Like in every other part of world, in Udaipur too it was a big festive day for strong 7000 (approx) Christian community. The day started with mass prayers and gatherings at churches in Udaipur.
Shepherd Memorial Church or Church of North India at Chetak Circle being the biggest and oldest church was packed with more than 500 devotees including some congress politicians, Ms. Girija Vyas, Mr. Raghuveer Meena and Mr. Madhusudan Sharma.
The prayer started at 9:30 in the morning with a Christmas Carol and was followed by a sermon by Rev. Father.
People greeted each other with blessings and best wishes of the day and the coming New Year.
Our photo journalist Akhtar Khan was there too. Here are some of Akhtar’s best shots capturing moments of joy and splendor of the day Jesus Christ was born.
On behalf of Udaipurites and UT Team, I wish all our dedicated readers, subscribers, advertisers, sponsors a Merry Merry Christmas and a Very Blessed New Year!
