Due to different personal and social views many Muslim sects oppose the Milaad celebration, and some has their own way of celebrating the holy day by either fasting or indulge themselves in prayers.

Despite of mix beliefs of celebrating Milad-un-nabi or not, Muhammad remains distinctive figure of Islam. The only prophet who was termed by many great non-Muslim and Muslim intellectuals as a Prophet with multiple endowment, he was a Saint, King, Warrior, Entrepreneur, Son, Husband, Father, Announcer, Warner, Helper and a Prophet of God, all of his distinctiveness has made him known as not just prophet of Islam but the Prophet of all Human race.

UT will cover the communal rally starting from 2:00pm onwards; we’ll try to publish the coverage as soon as possible but not before 7PM IST today.

Respecting the sentiments of our Muslim readers, wherever the name of Muhammad appeared in the article, we pronounce Allah’s peace and mercy upon Prophet Muhammad and his progeny.
