Governor of Rajasthan – Kalyan Singh graced the occasion of the 22nd Convocation Ceremony of Mohanlal Sukhadia University. Kalyan Singh gave away Degrees and awards to students as Chief Guest of the function that was held today at MLSU.

Along with 100 PhDs and 66 Gold Medalists, Kalyan Singh also awarded Doctor of Science to Prof. Goverdhan Mehta and Doctor of Literature to Dr. Gulab Kothari.

In his address to the attendees including the students, Kalyan Singh laid emphasis on the fact that the call of the hour is to create jobs rather than look for jobs – motivating and urging students to grab the reins of entrepreneurship as their motto.

He also added, “Poverty and Education are two main concerns in the current scenario – Poverty is directly linked with lack of education.”

Commenting on the number of female students receiving Gold Medals, he expressed his happiness and said that it is a challenge for male students. Out of 116 gold medals, 114 were awarded to female students.

Chancellor, Prof. I.V. Trivedi welcomed the attendees at the event in the beginning and briefed about the achievements and various project by MLSU in the past year. The event was convened by Registrar, RP Sharma.
