A one day Motivational Seminar was conducted today by Fr. Norbert Herman SVD Director of the Sarva Dharma Maitri Sangh Udaipur, for the teachers of St. Mary’s Sr. Sec. School Fatehpura in the school auditorium.

The seminar started by an exercise called ‘Know thy Neighbor’, through which all the participants of the seminar got introduced to the gathering.

In the introductory talk Fr. Norbert explained the role of the Family, School, Society and Media on Children of our time. The short movie ‘Media Cracy’ was shown to substantiate the talk.

The second session of the seminar started with the question ‘Are we teachers or educators’? After the talk the teachers were divided in to ten groups for the Group discussion.

The issue of the discussion was, ‘How does your Child get affected by the media and What are the challenges you face in teaching children’? Post the internal discussion, leaders of the all the 10 groups presented positive as well as negative impact of the media. The teachers felt that the main challenge in teaching the children is to be a good role model.

Inspirational video clips and Fr. Norbert’s melodious singing captured the attention of the Participants.

There were around 70 teachers present in the seminar. Principal, Sister Anusha FSMA expressed a vote of thanks and wished all the best to the teachers.
