Preparations for “Taziya” procession taken out by Sunni Community on 10th of Muharram are in full swing. Taziya replicas have already been constructed at various Mosques of City including Badi Paltan, Alipura and Dholi bawdi.

According to Mohammad Baksh, chief architect of Badi Paltan Taziya informed that height of Taziya replica has been kept at 32 feet. Baksh added that the notable feature of these structures is that they are constructed with a contribution received across religious groups of city.

Sources further informed that there are around 20 such replicas which will participate in the procession scheduled on 15th November. A ritual of ‘Chaddi Milan’ is planned on 12th November. Fully built-up ‘Taziyas’ will be kept outside respective Mosques on 14th November.
