The City of Lakes is celebrating it’s first Udaipur Architecture Festival (UAF2020) across the globe with world renowned architects and over 1400 participants on 16–17 December. The virtual festival, embraces the new normal in the wake of the ongoing pandemic and brings the celebration right at your doorstep.
Presenting a programme that will allow one to pause from the current model of our busy and chaotic lifestyle in which we often negotiate with our learning process, the event will inspire and spread awareness about architecture and it’s importance. Layered with interesting lectures, workshops, competitions and activities such as virtual heritage tours will give participants an insight of the domain architecture extends across.
Synergising with the ethos of the festival the speakers and artists will explore the relationship between life, form and our built environment. Team UAF aims to open up the platform to a diverse set of viewers by allowing them to collaborate and discuss. Not limiting to art in relation to architecture; the event will also include music, cinema, craft and more innovative artistry.
However celebrating virtually, the viewer will be inspired by not just global but also local and world-famous inheritance of Udaipur. One of it’s kind and first of many more to follow, Udaipur Architecture Festival invites architects and non-architects to a portal that will allow the viewer to step from his world and into the digitally created channel that will connect and spread across borders.
