Udaipur, Aug 276, 2025: The greatest blessing in life is to promise to hold someone’s hand and accompany them through every circumstance. When two spirits choose to be each other’s partners in joy and hardship, only then can the groundwork for a family be established. To share this sentiment with every individual in society who is denied the sacred institution of marriage due to financial constraints or disabilities, Narayan Seva Sansthan is once again set to host a remarkable Mahayagya.

The 44th Mass Wedding for the disabled and underprivileged will take place at the Seva Mahatirth complex in Leon ka Guda. The event will be spread over two  days, viz August 30-31. During this event, 51 newlyweds will make seven vows to become lifelong partners and begin a joyful married life together.

Embodiment of Love and Self-assurance

Bhagwan Prasad Gaur, the public relations head of the institute, mentioned that some individuals are visually impaired, some are physically disabled, while others navigate life with great effort. There are couples in which one partner has a disability and the other faces physical challenges. Nevertheless, each couple will exemplify the belief that -

True togetherness is not limited to physical presence but encompasses the soul and the intellect.”

Ganpati Sthapna

On August 30 at 10:15 am, founder Padmashree Kailash 'Manav', co-founder Kamala Devi, and president Prashant Agarwal of the Narayan Seva Sansthan will begin the wedding festivities with Ganpati Sthapna.

Further, customs like mehndi, music, and bindoli will take place on August 30 and will be followed by the rituals of toran, varmala and panigrahan after which the Mangalsutra will bind these couples to a lifetime of commitment.

This occasion is more than just a wedding; it embodies a celebration of social rejuvenation. The handicapped couples, whose lives were once mired in hopelessness and who have gained independence through surgeries, prosthetic limbs, and vocational training provided by the institute, will return with their children to bless the new brides and grooms.

To date, 2459 couples in 43 mass weddings have filled their homes with love and support from the Sansthan. This time, the event will also be broadcast live, allowing the entire nation to witness the new beginnings of these couples.

Resonance of Vedic Tradition

51 altars will be adorned in the wedding hall. The sacred sounds of Vedic chants from the Acharyas will fill the air. As the bride and groom circle the sacred fire seven times amidst the bride’s tears, this moment will symbolize not only a religious ceremony but also a poignant representation of human kindness and social responsibility.

A Gift of New Beginnings

The Sansthan will present the newlyweds with all essential household items—utensils, beds, cupboards, sewing machines, stoves, fans, bedding, and even cosmetics. These items represent more than mere possessions; they signify blessings that will bring joy to their new lives.

Farewell in Doli

The most emotional part of the ceremony will occur when the daughters depart with their husbands seated in a symbolic doli. The institute will ensure that they are sent to their hometowns with honor. This farewell will not just be a departure but will convey a message to society that -

Every daughter, regardless of her circumstances, deserves to be sent away with dignity and respect as the Laxmi of her home.”

This mass marriage transcends being merely an event; it is a celebration of humanity—where dedication, compassion, and social unity come together to create new life stories.
