Computer Society of India Udaipur Chapter, Division IV, SIG-WNs, The Institution of Engineers (India) Udaipur Local Center, Aravali Institute of Technical Studies Udaipur, Rajasthan organized the National Conference on Innovations in Engineering & Technology (NCIET-2014).

The Chief Guest of Inaugural Session Prof. B.P. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Pacific University, addressed to the students and said that they should contribute original research papers in all fields of engineering and should develop original patent/brands.

Dr. Durgesh Kumar Mishra Guest of Honour of the session and Chairman Division IV, Computer Society of India expressed that Innovation is playing vital role in development in computer network and students should read article/papers again and again and re-search the topic and they should not hesitate to discuss the subject with their faculty members, students and experts. Dr. Meenakshi Tripathi, Malviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur and Special Guest spoke about sensor, smart nature and development of network while reducing the cost.

At the start of the programme, welcome address was given by Dr. Ashok Jain, Director of Aravali Institute of Technical Studies, Udaipur.

Er. A S Chundawat, talked about the Institution of Engineers (India) key areas of Innovations in Engineering and Technology.

Er. Amit Joshi, Conference Coordinator expressed his heartfelt thanks to the dignitaries and all the participants for actively participating in the National Conference and talked about key areas to be discussed during this two days conference. Er. Hemant Dhabhai, Organising Secretary, Aravali Institute of Technical Studies proposed the Vote of Thanks.

The Two Day Seminar focused on various key areas in Innovations in Engineering & Technology. About 140 participants from Rajasthan and Gujarat participated in this conference. A total of 130 papers were received and out of that 124 papers were selected for publication in the souvenir and 60 papers presented in two days technical sessions.

In the valedictory Session of the National Seminar held on 15th April, Prof. RK Aeron, Patron (Engineering Education) Pacific University was the Chief Guest and he congratulated the organizers for selecting a very contemporary theme for the conference.

Prof. Aeron expressed that innovation in technological advancements helps the society and no nation can progress without original Idea.

Dr. Dharm Singh, Convener SIG-WNs CSI and General Chair addressed about the Role of SIG-WNs in Society and appreciated the efforts of organizers.

Er. Hemant Dhabhai, Organising Secretary Aravali Institute of Technical Studies proposed the Vote of Thanks.

The following recommendations have been emerged out after deliberations in the Seminar:

1. Users Prospective has to be taken into consideration before any innovation to be done.

2. Participants/Research Scholars/students must come out with more and more research papers reflecting different areas of Engineering discipline with innovations which is the demand of the day.

3. Researchers must take inspiration from technocrats and initiatives of past, so that they may inculcate in themselves the spirit of becoming innovator, which is the key for the development of the nation.

4. More and more lucid, attractive, informative & educative presentations should be prepared incorporating latest trends in innovations.
