National Handicraft & Vocational Training Course began at Udai Niwas which was attended by chief guest State Commissioner Dr. Akhil Shukla.

During the inaugural speech, he said that discipline and patriotism are the two main elements of scout-guide. He motivated the students to partake and fight in all situations and never give up. He also promoted the cause of blood donation among the present members.

Jitendra Kumar Upadhyay informed that scout-guides, range rovers and unit leaders of 19 states are participating in the event including West Bengal, Karnataka, J&K, Chattisgarh, Orissa, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, South Railway, Eastern Railway, N.F Railway, Western Railway, Central Railway etc.

The members will be trained in rope making, electricity, candle making, 6 types of mural art, sculpture, water proof sari pin, thermacol painting, fabric painting, dori work, cards making, jute dolls, pots etc.
