A two day national seminar on ‘Financial issues and Economic Reformation’ started today at Manikyalal Verma Shramjeevi College affiliated with JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth. The event is organized by college’s Department of Economics.

Gulabchand Kataria, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj was the chief guest of the program.

While addressing the audience, Kataria emphasized on the education system and said, “Education should reach everyone in such a way that every person can become self sufficient. Consequently, economic reformation will be achieved.”

Seminar director Dr. Suman Pamecha informed that the keynote speaker of the seminar was Prof. Satish Batra from Rajasthan University, Jaipur. Prof Batra said that economic development is connected with social development.

He said, “If development doesn’t reach to each and every person of the society then such development is temporary and can instill dissatisfaction in the society.”

Special guest Prof Bhawani Shankar Garg, Prof. S.S Sarangdewot and Prof. P.K Dashora also shared their views on the economic reform in the current circumstances.

Program secretary Dr. Paras Jain informed that two technical sessions were held today and several topics on the effect of globalization, financial condition of Rajasthan and infrastructural development of the state was discussed.

A souvenir and a book on economic development published by the college was also unveiled today during the program.
