National Seminar & Workshop on Engineering Applications conclude

Computer Society of India Udaipur Chapter, Division IV, SIG-WNs, The Institution of Engineers (India) Udaipur Local Center, Sunrise Group of Institutions, Udaipur, Rajasthan organized a National Seminar and Workshop on Analysis and Simulation for Engineering Applications (ASEA-2014).

The seminar focused on emerging tools and techniques for simulations in different aspects of software, engineering and its applications. Seminar covered emerging platforms for Simulations, Application of Engineering Equation Solver [EES] for Simulation of Energy Systems, Network Simulators, Matlab, Open Simulations Software and Role of the simulations in Industry.

The Chief Guest of Inaugural Session Dr Rajveer Shekhawat, Regional Student Coordinator, Region III CSI and Technical Consultant Secure Meters, Udaipur, Gujarat inaugurated the National Seminar by lighting the lamps along with other dignitaries present on the occasion.

Dr Shekhawat congratulated the Organizers for selecting such a relevant topic for deliberation in the national Seminar. Further, he discussed in length about adavncements in simulations during last two decades. National Seminar & Workshop on Engineering Applications conclude

Dr Shekhawat also shared his own experiences on the simulations that an Effective Model Analysis has to be done before implemention.

Dr. Shekhawat asked the participants to actively involve themselves in the Research of Simulation Techniques.

Dr. Mukesh Sharma, Guest of Honour of the session and Sr. Scientific Officer, State Forensic Science University. Jaipur congrulated the organizers for taking an excellent topic for the seminar and asked to increase these kind of activities.

Prof. Surendra S. Kachhwaha, Special Guest of the session and Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar added new dimensions to the workshop and suggested to take a single aspect to simulate the engineering Applications.

Manish Godha, CEO Advayia Solutions and Keynote Speaker spoke about the changing trends in Engineering and compared simulating engineering applications with analyzing the accountability problems.

Dr. Dharm Singh, Convener SIG-WNs CSI & General Chair of the seminar addressed about the changing prospective in Network Simulations, Dr. B R Ranwah, Vice Chairman CSI Udaipur Chapter congratulated the organizers to take such a relevant topic and stressed on increased of such activities, Er. A S Chundawat, talked about the key aeras of Simulation Techniques and its need.

Dr. Manuj Joshi, Organising Chair welcomed the guests and gave the opening remarks for the National Seminar. Mr. Gaznfer Ali, Principal, Sunrise Faculty of Engineering shared his views on the topic and activities going on in Sunrise Group of institutions. Amit Joshi, Organising Secretary expessed his heartfelt thanks to the dignitaries and all the participants for acitively participating in the National Seminar and talked about key areas to be discussed during workshop. Himanshu Jain, Director Sunrise Group of Institutions proposed the Vote of Thanks.

National Seminar & Workshop on Engineering Applications conclude

About 120 participants from Rajasthan and Gujarat participated in the seminar. A total of 35 papers were presented in two days including the student presentation sessions and 6 invited talks.

In the valedictory Session of the National Seminar held on 5th April Prof. RK Aeron, Patron (Engineering Education) Pacific University was the Chief Guest and he congratulated the organizers for selecting a very contemporary theme for the seminar. Prof. Aeron also discussed the upcoming technology and motivated the participants to choose one direction to simulate their career path. Dr Harshal Arolkar, Immd. Past Chairman, CSI Ahmedabad Chapter and Guest of Honour of the session discussed about the difference between data, information and knowledge.
