Natyansh organizes 3rd National Theater Festival ‘Alfaaz’

After a successful event last year, Natyansh Society of Dramatic and Performing Arts in collaboration with Hindustan Zinc Ltd is organizing a 2-days National Theater Festival “Alfaaz” which will be held on 24th and 25th December, 2015

 

Natyansh organizes 3rd National Theater Festival ‘Alfaaz’

After a successful event last year, Natyansh Society of Dramatic and Performing Arts in collaboration with Hindustan Zinc Ltd is organizing a 2-days National Theater Festival “Alfaaz” which will be held on 24th and 25th December, 2015 at Auditorium of Manikya Lal Verma Shramjeevi College, Town Hall Road, Udaipur. As in previous years, the theme of the festival is the issues related to the status of women in our society.  In this theater festival, women oriented full length stage plays will be performed. This year, in addition to stage plays, an “On the Spot Painting Competition” for school students will be organized and an “Online Photography Competition” on the related subject.

For the painting competition, two categories are made: classes 5th to 8th and classes 9th to 12th. The topic of the competition is ‘status of women in society’ and ‘me and my mother.’ All the participants will be given certificates with top 50 to receive special appreciation letter. This event will take place on 20th December at St. Anthony Sr. Sec. School in Goverdhan Vilas at 10 AM.

Likewise, for the photography competition, the theme is ‘shades of women.’ The last date for submission of photos is 20th December.

On the 1 st day (24th Dec.) of 3rd National Theater Festival, artists of Team Natyansh will perform the play ‘Dulhan Ek Pahad Ki’ which is directed by Rekha Sisodia. Play ‘Bride from the Hills’ is written by famous playwright Isobel Andrews and it is translated to Hindi by Mridula Garg. On 2nd day ( 25th Dec.) artist of ‘Avitoko’ team from Mumbai will perform the play ‘Bimb-Pratibimb’. The play is written and acted by Vibha Rani and is directed by Bombay Kannan.
