Non-stop 9-hour Kathak dance record performance
Students create a record by performing Kathak for 9 constant hours.
45 girl students learning Kathak dance performed for 9 hours non-stop in Arvanah Mall. It was Sunday when Arvanah Mall echoed with the jingling sound coming from the Ghunghroos tied at the feet of 45 girls. These 45 girls performed Kathak non-stop for 9 hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The performance included amad, tode, salami, tihai and kavit.
The record performance of these students has entered Global Record and research Foundation and Kalam Book of World Records. The teams from both these record companies were present to witness the 9 hour performance. A video of the entire performance has been created. The students were assisted with glucose, water and the necessary vitamins by a special volunteer team.
