In a joint venture,  Akhil Bhartiya Nav Varsh Samaroh Samiti, Udaipur Municipal Council and Alok Institution, initiated four  days cultural programs to welcome Nav Samvatsar 2069 (Hindu New Year). The programme started today with street play ‘Padharo Sa!’ that was conducted in various areas of the city. The Street Play was performed  36 times by the students of Alok School at all the major places including Udiapol, Surajpol, Dehligate, Shashtri Circle, Narayan Seva Sansthan, Sevashram Chowraha, Hathipol, Chetak Circle, RMV Chowraha, Gulabhag, Sector 14, Chunginaka, Khejdi Hotel, Anand Plaza, Maya Mishthan and many other places. On the occasion, Dr. Pradeep Kumawat, National Secretary of New Year Celebration Committee said that the performance of the play started from 9 am in the morning and the students also offered yellow rice and distributed more than 5000 invitations to Udaipurites and its tourist with number of social organization to become a part of New Year celebration. On the second day of New Year celebration, tomorrow on March 21,  ‘Apni Pagdi Sajao’  (Turban Decoration) event will be organized at Fateh Sagar in which 1100 meter long turbans will be the center of attraction. The event  will start at 5 pm.
