The month-long folk dance training camp at the Lok Kala Mandal concluded yesterday with varied and colorful dance performances.

The program held at the auditorium of Lok Kala Mandal began with garlanding of Institute’s Honorary Secretary Riyaz Tehsin. Thereafter, the Assistant Director Goverdhan Samar presented the report of dance camp and mentioned that a total of 67 girls and ladies participated in the camp and learned the folk dance.

Riyaz Tehsin mentioned in his speech that 63 years back in 1952 Lok Kala Mandal was founded by Padmashri Devilal Samar with the intention of keeping alive the local art and culture. He added that camps like these are in line with the objective of the institution.

After offering prayers to goddess Saraswati, group dance performances were presented by girls and ladies of different age groups.
