A large number of people gathered on the weekend at Nagar Nigam premises on the Town Hall ground to witness events on 6^th day of Deepawali Mela.  The stage taken up by some of the most prominent poets of India the audience was treated to choicest poetry having satire with a take on social and current issues.

Poetess Shalini Sargam from Delhi inaugurated the proceedings of the evening by presenting her poem, which was followed with a recitation by Poet Shyam Parashar from Singoli, Sardar Manjeet Singh from Faridabad, Dr. Vishnu Saxena from Aligarh, Ajat Shatru from Udaipur, Jagdish Solanki from Kota and Dr. Hari Om Panwar from Meerut.

Wonder Cement sponsored the Kavi sammelan as part of its abiding and deep rooted commitment to enrich the city’s cultural heritage. Speaking on the occassion Vivek Patni, Director – Marketing, Wonder Cements Cement, reiterated the company’s commitment in  building a society based on equality and shared values for the upliftment of the poor and downtrodden in the society.

Today, on the last day of cultural nights, a conglomeration of spiritual, folk, cultural and bollywood programs will be presented.
