The echoing of thousands of devotees spread all over Udaipur was heard today as the city witnessed one of the biggest and holiest events of Jaggannath Yatra.
The procession started from the famous temple of Udaipur Jagdish Mandir where the holy idol of Lord Krishna was placed on the silver imbedded Rath carried by Rath Samiti Udaipur as it is strongly believed that Lord Krishna is one of the avatars of Lord Jagganth.

The procession started from the famous temple of Udaipur Jagdish Mandir where the holy idol of Lord Krishna was placed on the silver imbedded Rath carried by Rath Samiti Udaipur as it is strongly believed that Lord Krishna is one of the avatars of Lord Jagannath.

H.H Mahendra Singh Mewar, Prince Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Lal Singh Jhala and other dignitaries were also present during the procession which passed through the entire city.

Many roads were kept blocked for traffic due to the massive event. Heavy police force was deployed for security as a precautionary measure.

The procession consisted of the Rath and the replica of Jagdish Temple as the centre of attraction. The procession also consisted of bands and was joined by various social and religious organizations of the city along its path.
