Udaipur celebrated the 63rd Republic Day with utmost devotion and enthusiasm. Hundreds and thousands of people observed the parade and cultural programs presented by school children at Gandhi Ground.

Udaipur celebrated the 63rd Republic Day with utmost devotion and enthusiasm. Hundreds and thousands of people observed the parade and cultural programs presented by school children at Gandhi Ground.

Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya, the Minister of Tribal & Rural Area Development & Panchayati Raj hoisted the National Flag and observed the parade procession.

The function went ahead with the march past by Police band, Police platoons, students of various schools, group of scout and guide and all the wings of National Cadet Corps.

The students of The Study School presented a magnificent group dance on a patriotic song composed by Madan Arya the music teacher of the school under the supervision of Asha Singh, principal of The Study.

On the occasion, many notable people from diferent professional backgrounds were awarded for their outstanding services by the Chief Guest, Mahendrajeet Singh Malwaiya and District Collector, Hemant Gera.

Various departments also presented their tableaux displaying their schemes and movements in the past year and also projected their future plans.

Some of them were:

Tableaux of Medical and Health unit displayed their recent scheme of providing free medicines at government hospitals and the department of Women and Child Development presented their scheme of “Janani Suraksha Yojna”.

The problems faced at Fateh Sagar and their solutions were depicted in the tableau of Fateh Sagar Restoration Project. Literacy department focused on education for girl child and the rate of literacy in the city. They showed their plans to provide free books and other facilities related to education of girls.

Cooperative units offered their schemes for promotion and upliftment of framers. Representations of Election department of District Administration stated that very citizen above 18 must have a Voter ID Card and should consider his right to vote very seriously.

The tableaux of Gramin Yojna of Panchayat Raj Samiti, Badgaon and Sarv Shikhsha Abhiyan exhibited their arrangement to give free education to kids of 6-12 years of age which would also include free computer education.

The display of Mukhya Mantri Gramin BPL Avas Yojna and Samajik Nyay Adhiarikta Yojna were also very effective in conveying their message.

Mobile Office which started 4 weeks back showed their working on how they move to remote areas of Udaipur on very Thursday to register complaints of people of those areas and provide solution within an hour.
